Today DLDD were pleased to attend an event hosted by Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service at Dunstable Fire Station. The event brought together partners and the public to raise awareness of the importance of staying active to support health, reduce vulnerability, and prevent risks such as repeat hospital visits.
We heard about exciting plans for a Walking Football event in May 2026, to be held in line with Dementia Awareness Week. This initiative is being developed with a wide range of partners including Bedfordshire Police, East of England Ambulance Service, Tibbs Dementia Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society, Luton & Dunstable Hospital, Dunstable FC, Encore Football and Bedfordshire FA.
