Santander Dunstable Branch to Close in March 2026 – New Banking Hub Planned
The Don’t Let Dunstable Die Trust (DLDD Trust) has received official confirmation that Santander will close its Dunstable branch in March 2026.
While this is disappointing news for local residents and businesses, there are positive plans ahead — a new Banking Hub is set to open in Dunstable town centre, ensuring continued access to cash and essential face-to-face banking services for the community.
What Will the New Banking Hub Offer?
Once open, a Santander Community Banker will be available to assist customers with:
- Checking balances and recent transactions
- Paying bills and setting up payments
- Updating personal or contact details
- Managing Direct Debits and standing orders
- Viewing or requesting statements
- Opening, changing, or closing accounts
- Exploring local options for withdrawing or depositing cash
These Community Bankers have experience working in Santander branches and will continue to provide friendly, personal support to customers.
How to Get Support
If you have any questions or need help with banking or digital services, you can call the Santander dedicated support line on 0330 678 2469.
Updates about the closure date and the new Dunstable Banking Hub will be displayed on posters in branch, on the Santander branch locator webpage, and shared by the DLDD Trust as soon as new information becomes available.
The DLDD Trust will continue to campaign for strong banking access in Dunstable and will keep the community fully informed on progress toward the opening of the new Banking Hub.
